Privacy Policy - Penny Grigg is registered with the ICO as a data controller and adheres to GDPR and the Data ( Use and Access) Act 2026. Your personal data is safe and not shared with 3rd Parties. Your confidentiality is protected as all 'personal identifiers'; your name, contact details, billing etc. are coded and locked away securely. I am required to keep some information due to my safeguarding duties.
I do keep notes, these are kept separately to your personal identifiers. You are entitled to see your 'counselling record', should you wish to do so, however these are brief notes for the counsellor to record themes of each session and wouldn't provide much useful information, these, and your personal identifiers are kept for 7 years and then destroyed as confidential waste within a year of you leaving the service.
I have a safeguarding policy which I'll share with you as part of our initial free session.

I will not share your personal information unless there is a clear reason to do so, although I do share my therapeutic concerns with my supervisor I do not use your full name.
